Welcome to Holt
Thanks to the eight parks spread out around Holt, there's an outdoor activity for everyone all year round. The massive 540-acre Burchfield Park sprawls along the banks of the Grand River, offering a diverse landscape. Miles of unique trails make it perfect for hiking, biking, or skiing. In warm months, sit by the beach, go for a dip, cast a line for trout, or kayak the scenic river.
During winter, you can ice fish or skate when the river is frozen. Across all the parks, enjoy amenities like tennis and volleyball courts, baseball fields, fishing and swimming ponds, a skate park, sledding hills, many picnic areas, and miles of trails. The Veterans Memorial Gardens, a park honoring each branch of the military, features a cascading water fountain and amphitheater among beautiful plantings and greenery. To connect with the community, get locally grown produce, artisanal goods, and delicious food from vendors at the Holt Farmers Market.
A connected community with plenty to do.
Holt is just ten miles south of the bustle of Lansing, but its neighborhoods are peacefully tucked away amid natural beauty. The abundance of local recreational opportunities will you keep busy without the long trip.
